                                    Creating a Sustainable Impact during COVID OutbreakFurthermore, along with SAPREM we also engaged with the beneficiaries and counselled them to learn skills like making masks, tailoring, selling vegetables and fruits including coconuts, making cloth bags, selling eggs and fish etc. to earn their livelihood. This inter vention empowered and suppor ted the beneficiaries to sustain during the pandemic. Furthermore, lockdown multiplied the adversities for the economically weaker sections and the workers who earn their livelihood as daily wagers. This section of the society started facing starvation as meeting their basic needs became a major challenge. With the vision to help, support and sustain the lives of workers and craftsmen as well as ensuring that they get enough money to fulfil their needs in these difficult times, we tied up with an NGO, SAPREM located at Mumbai. We volunteered to adopt 250 families for three months by giving them Rs. 5,000/- per month through NEFT. Following data shows our engagement with the beneficiaries and benefits provided.\, I am Suresh Gaikwad, from Palghar. I am a driver but don't have my own car. Also, I am leaving on rent. Due to lockdown and other source of income, the shopkeeper also stopped lending and said that we would have to pay for ration in cash.
